Welcome to Ironheim!

IronHeim is a heavily modded version of Valheim which enhances and expands the progression by adding new biomes, bosses, mini bosses, events and more! Since the difficulty is much higher on IronHeim, so are the rewards. Enchant your gear with magical properties to survive the harsh environments IronHeim will put you through.

The First Steps…
When you awaken at the standing stones of Ironheim, look past the monoliths of fallen gods follow the path and go west. Follow the road and seek refuge to Maeria’s camp.

Here, you can get a brief outline of your trajectory in Ironheim, the rest will be for you to discover. As well as get some information about some of the mechanics of Ironheim.

Tier 1 - Meadows

Tier 2 - BlackForest

Tier 3 - Swamp

Tier 4 - Mountain

Tier 5 - Plains

Tier 6 - Mistlands // HighForest

Tier 7 - Ashlands

Tier 8 - Deep North

Tier 9 - Aesir

Tier 10 - Fell

Anyone can become a manipulator of the dead these days. It has its complexities, but once mastered...it can prove useful! You can summon different undead entities, even ones that gather resources for you!

I recommend starting small, with a Skeleton Wand perhaps. You will need to use the Workbench and combine fine wood, stone, and some bone fragments. You'll need components to manifest an undead entity - the most important being Bone Fragments

Additionally, the higher your Necromancy skill level...the more powerful minions you can summon!

The basic controls for all minions are as follows;

F6 - Customize your minion's looks!

B Summon a minion - Creates a minion if you have the proper components in your inventory and a undead wand equipped.

H Cycle minion type - Cycle minion types (eg. switch from Warrior to Archer) to be created by B.

F Follow - Nearby minions will follow (configurable range).

T Wait - Following minions will wait.

Shift+T Roam - Following minions will roam, this will trigger worker summons to look for nearby resources to harvest

G Teleport - Following minions (within range) will teleport to you.

The Skeleton Wand:

1) Skeleton Warrior -- 6 BoneFragments -- Can Wear Armor? Yes

2) Skeleton Archer -- 6 BoneFragments, 10 Wood/Bronze/Iron/Fire/Frost/Poison/Silver Arrows -- Can Wear Armor? Yes

3) Poison Skeleton -- 6 BoneFragments, 1 Guck -- Can Wear Armor? Yes (Requires level 50 Necromancy)

4) Skeleton Woodcutter -- 6 BoneFragments, 1 Flint -- Can Wear Armor? No

5) Skeleton Miner -- 6 BoneFragments, 1 HardAntler -- Can Wear Armor? No

Once you've mastered Skeletons, you may be ready for Draugr. You'll need Ancient bar, Fine Wood, Bronze, and a Draugr trophy to make this.

The Draugr Wand:

1) Draugr Warrior-- 6 BoneFragments, 1 Meat -- Can Wear Armor? Yes

2) Draugr Archer -- 6 BoneFragments, 1 Meat, 10 Wood/Bronze/Iron/Fire/Frost/Poison/Silver Arrows -- Can Wear Armor? Yes

3) Battle Neckro -- 50 Meat -- Can Wear Armor? No

Totems:

Summoning totems pair well with other basic necromancy summons but work differently.

The lowest tier totem summon is the Neck Totem. You can use a Neck Trophy, ancient seeds, neck tails, and resin to make one.

While holding the totem, use it to summon a powerful Neck minion.

The only way to level your Blood Magic skill to use more powerful totems is by fighting side by side with your summons.

You can summon mighty allies if you choose to polish this skill.

[totemcrafting]

I already mentioned the Neck Totem to get you started. As you progress, you will discover many new totems to use...each much more powerful but equally demanding as a spellcaster;

Crystal Totem - Dragon Tear, Blackmetal, Silver, Iron on a Workbench

Wolf Totem - Wolf Trophy, Ymir Flesh, Wolf Hide, Silver on a Workbench

Drake Totem - Drake Trophy, Freeze Glands, Silver, Ancient Seeds on a Workbench

Skull Totem - Ymir Flesh, Skeleton Trophy, Rancid Skeleton Trophy, Refined Eitr on a Galdr Table

Asksvin Totem - Askvin Trophy, Askvin Hide, Flametal, Refined Eitr on a Galdr Table

Charred Totem - Warrior Trophy, Flametal, Charred Bone, Refined Eitr on a Galdr table

Seeker Totem - Seeker Soldier Trophy, Mandibles, Blackmetal, Refined Eitr on a Galdr Table

Fallen Totem - Fallen Valkryie Trophy, Celestial Feathers, Flametal, Refined Eitr, on a Galdr Table

[swimming]

To Dive: Hold Crouch/Sneak Key (left control) + W (or forward direction key) and use your mouse to navigate.

While holding W + Left Control you can dive down or up using mouse to navigate.

If you release Left Control you can swim normally using direction keys ( W A S D ) but you can't dive down or up.

Diving also uses your stamina so better prepare foods with lots of stamina or stamina potion.

If you run out of stamina while underwater you'll take damage normally until your hp goes down and you'll die.

If you run out of stamina or you just want to go back up quickly you can press jump key ( Space ).

While idle in the water your stamina will naturally regen.

The higher your swimming skill, the easier it will be to navigate the Oceans of IronHeim.

Hmm...here is some other useful information that may help you;

- You can group with other players by typing /invite NAME

- You can <color=cyan>resurrect other players</color> before they click the 'respawn' button, even if you aren't in a group with them.

- Epic Loot quality/tier is based on your individual character progression. Certain bosses unlock the ability to drop the next tier of gear without having to craft it.

- You can begin your <color=cyan>adventures as a spell caster</color> as soon as you get Greydwarf Eyes and Wood for a Wizard's Wand!

- There are some early Eitr granting items as well...so pick up everything and keep an eye on your recipes.

- Certain actions are gated behind your character's <color=cyan>individual progression</color>. For example, the Boss Altar powers.

- You can swim underwater on IronHeim, even <color=cyan>fight underwater</color>!

- You can summon undead to fight for you, or even work for you by gathering resources like raw ores.

- The Meadows and Myceliaton are <color=cyan>reasonably safe to build in</color>. Anywhere else is a risk, but its up to you!

[ships]

Once you are able to make a Longship, then you can begin <color=cyan>upgrading your ship</color>.

Firstly, you will need to build a Scribe Table (fine wood, wood, bronze nails, leather, feathers) to create schematics, or plans, to upgrade your ships.

Secondly, you will need to build a Shipyard near water deep enough to house your ship.

Once you make a plan to upgrade your ship, you will place it in the Shipyard with your Ship parked near it.

Then select the "Upgrade Ship" options in the Shipyard crafting table and your ship will undergo its upgrade.

[rules]

We're promoting a fun and enjoyable environment for all Players.

The bottom line is, if you're being an ass, we will ban you without remorse. Don't be a martyr.

All common sense should apply - be respectful, don't be rude, be a generally good team player etc...

<color=cyan>NEW as of Dec. 2024</color> No building outside of world edge!

No building <color=cyan>within render distance</color> of other players' buildings without permission.

No building <color=cyan>within render distance of server Landmarks</color> (villages, dungeons, boss altars, Refuge, etc)

No tampering with other players' bases, structures, tombstones, or belongings in any format!

Note: If you kill a player in a PVP area, you may loot their corpse.

No griefing, destroying, stealing, or malicious actions.

No EXCESSIVE terraforming (giant terrain walls/super tall or deep moats/home made mountains etc)

For Valheim Servers: Keep instances below 10,000 for your builds (Check by pressing F2) Note: Improved Hammer pieces seem to generate less instances.

No camping single mob spawns (EXOS boss altars etc) and no killstealing!

Do not use/steal other people's boats, vehicles, carts, or property without permission.

No portal trapping or portals leading to dangerous locations.

Do not lure dangerous mobs to other players' base(s).

Do not leave bosses (Chokodai, Arch Lizard etc) alive when you leave an area. If you are unable to kill it, request the assistance of your comrades!

No automated mob farms. This creates unnecessary stress on the server.

HAVE FUN!

[event]

IronHeim events are ran by the Iron Realms Admin Staff. Participation in events is optional and usually dangerous! Sometimes you'll fight bosses, waves of enemies, have objectives, and more. Though the events are quite deadly, they are usually quite rewarding! You may even get exclusive items. You'll also earn IronHeim Event Tokens which can be exchanged with me for awesome items! There are some things to be aware of regarding events. You'll need to have a portal close to Maeria's camp so you can return here quickly in case you die and your comrades cannot ressurect you. Optionally, you can ask for a summon by shouting in all caps "SUMMON" and the Admin team will get to you when they can. And finally, there will be no 'cheesing' at events such as sniping from high up unreachable places. Though you wont get in trouble, you'll likely die when Iron Dad spawns a 50 star wraith above you...or worse.
